Sacramento, CA- Proponents of Proposition 7, The Solar and Clean Energy Act, called today for Californians to pass the measure and join Al Gore calling for a ten year transition to clean power.

A new Field Poll of California voters released today found that 63% of Californians would vote in favor of Proposition 7, to increase renewable energy standards for all utilities.

Californians for Solar and Clean Energy, sponsors of Prop. 7, today announced that the Santa Barbara County Democratic Central Committee has voted unanimously to support the renewable energy standards for utilities proposition. Prop. 7 requires that 50% of all electricity used in California after 2025 be from solar and clean energy sources.
